From the anti-religion legislators that sponsored the bill attacking the hierarchy of the Church in Connecticut comes a new bill attempting to ram the concept of assisted suicide down the state's collective throat. Fortunately, due to another organized outcry of protest from Catholics, the bill has been tabled before it could be reviewed in a hastily arranged hearing. However, the bill is still a threat for 2010. You should know more, because more states are beginning to push for this sort of evil. Thanks to the brothers who have been good enough to send me a few stories they've run across on other parts of the world wide web. If you happen to see something you think may be blog-worthy, send it along. Can't guarantee everything will get posted, but appreciate any help I can get in keeping it interesting:

Please read this letterfrom Paul Simonau at the Diocesan Council for Justice and Peace updating the situation regarding what was reported as the location of a possible abortion mill in Chattanooga. There is still a possibility this could happen.
Just in time for Armed Forces Day, here is a very interesting collection of war posters which includes posters about the activities of the Knights of Columbus and campaigns to support the National Catholic War Council. To view them, click the link above to go to the search page, type in "Knights of Columbus" in the search bar or select it from the large scroll menu on the right. These WW1 era KofC posters are from the extensive collection housed at the University of Minnesota. You'll notice in the menu there are many different types of posters you can explore, including posters from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and one having to do with Pope Benedict XV. History buffs, please enjoy.
You probably read or heard the story somewhere, but you probably did not see the TV newscast from New Haven. To see the story and the video, click here.
